NATIONAL GARDEN WEEK

National Garden Week is observed in June.  Each year, The Garden Club of Downers Grove presents a program at the Downers Grove Public Library, co-sponsored by the Library, with a guest speaker and garden-related theme.

“The Urban Coyote”
Presenter:  Forest Preserve District of DuPage County

Investigate coyote populations in urban areas and examine natural history,
lifestyle and social structures of coyotes.

A mayoral proclamation  of National Garden Week was read at the Downers Grove Village Council meeting on June 6, 2023.  Downers Grove Mayor, Bob Barnet presented the award to The Garden Club of Downers Grove, President Barb F., along with members of the club.
